Water For Elephants Fan Fic
Using the character of Rosie the elephant as central to the continuation of the story, in this fan fic we see Jacob in his element, concentrating on his care of her. Marlena is heavily pregnant, the ghost of August a slither of memory. Knowing Rosie so well, all her actions are interpreted and explained in the text and in Jacob's words.
Prior knowledge of the original assists the reader with who and what Rosie is. The text begins with action and I feel a paragraph setting the scene, bringing in the back story, could create more interest. To continue with another chapter could bring in the baby and explore Rosie's relationship with the child of the mother she had saved.
